SNOW SNOW and more SNOW!

For those of you living in Green Bay and Indiana and other regions that get snow by the foot all winter long - pardon us as we are excited about our 8" and the fact that it looks like we will have a white Christmas for the first time in several years! And for sure for Henry and Emma's second Christmas. We got bundled up to go out and play and Henry pulled a Randy from Christmas Story - he couldn't get up! He had on his rubber boots and too many layers! But we finally got outside and played in the winter wonderland. The snow had a layer ice on top so that was a little hard for us little ones. But we enjoyed our sled rides up and down the street. We got about 3 more inches later that night and Emma would run out on the deck and get a handful and bring it in the house to examine.

Yesterday we went to see Santa. After a little trepidation, Henry gave us a smile and sat happily on Santa's lap. But Emma wasn't too sure and the longer we were there the more unsure she got. So the pictures we get will show her crying or being most unhappy with the situation.

Yesterday was also the last day for pacis. The old pacifiers went out with the recycle to go to "little tiny babies" that we aren't anymore. So far nap time has been a crying and screaming act for about an hour before we finally give it up. Last night wasn't too bad but Henry woke up about 6am frantically tearing apart all the blankets and animals in the crib looking for paci - he wasn't happy when he was reminded that it was gone.

Packages keep arriving at the door and we don't get to open them - what's going on? But we have had a lot oranges and pears and Momo is making chex mix and lots of other goodies. YUM!

Everyone: MERRY CHRISTMAS and our best to you in the new year!

Thanksgiving and Getting Ready for Christmas

We've had a busy week, Emma is getting more teeth and is not feeling so well because of it. And we have colds, Emma, Henry, Momma and Momo. We had a very nice Thanksgiving and ate lots of turkey, cranberries, mashed potatoes, hot rolls, brussel sprouts and pie. Emma saw the Rockettes on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and now does "rockettes" (kicks) when she dances! Hilarious. We'll have to try to get a video of her.
On Sunday we decorated the house for Christmas. Bumpa put up lots of lights on the outside of the house and we helped Momo decorate the big tree in the living room - one of us was a little more help than the other - the little yellow haired girl was not into decorating I guess. Bumpa put up the train and Henry cut his foot on a piece of track. So now he has a "boo boo" to show everyone and a Sponge Bob band aid. We thought we were going to have to call the waaaambulance but he stopped crying when sissy gave him a kiss.

We have a Christmas tree in the kitchen with toys on it, one in the living room with lots of stars and lights and one on the porch with flags and stars. We put out the creche with baby Jesus in the manger and we have lots of Santas around the house. Our big play yard has come in handy for keeping us OUT of the big Christmas tree and train. So now that the playyard is busy guarding the tree, we are free to play all over the house and what fun we are having! We can't get into enough stuff - we love the kitchen cabinets and drawers - our Momo has lots of STUFF in there!

And, we just have to share this beautiful sunset!

Wintry days are here

We are having cold wintry days so we get to play inside alot. We colored and read books today. The Eye Book is one of our favorites right now, so we read it about 20 times a day. Momo's glasses make a good toy. Momma and Momo think Henry looks a little like Harry Potter - whoever that is! Today we put on jeans that Momma bought just a few weeks ago and they are already getting too small. We are growing so fast!! We have been having sandwiches for lunch. They are really fun to eat. And hotdogs on a bun with relish. Yum Yum. Tomorrow we are going to have turkey and the whole works - can't wait. Hope everyone has a really happy day and that you have lots to be thankful for - we do!

Bath Time

We LOVE to take a bath, in fact we love it so much that we always make sure we get to take bath at least once a day. How do we do that? We usually use meal time to make our quest known. If just getting messy from eating was enough we would stop there, but Momma and Momo seem to clean us up pretty well after each meal, so we must go the extra step to ensure a bath will be needed, so we apply some of our meal to our HAIR. You know hair is just not the same after you have rubbed melted cheese, or just cheesy cheese in it. Or try some mashed potatoes, those are always good for a bath. Green beans work well too. Henry's fav is Laughing Cow on a cracker, NICE. Today Emma applied green beans and mashed potatoes. Awesome!

So it was a bath for us. We LOVE bath time - we take a bath in Momo and Bumpa's shower - in our swimming pool. So now you can see WHY we love it some much.

Brother and sister love - sometimes not so much

Well today is Friday and Momma is home all day. We had lots of fun playing but we had several little skirmishes, too. Seems we don't really like each other so much some times. We pull hair and grab faces. A liitle jealously can go a long way sometimes. Tonight we had pizza, our Momo makes good pizza and we love it. Tomorrow we are off to the playground (if there is a break in the rain). Tomorrow is our 18mo birthday! A year and a half - Momma and Momo and Bumpa say they can't believe it!

Crayons and peanut butter!

Welcome to the first blog about Henry and Emma. We are almost 18mo old (15th)! Here we are on Halloween! We had so much fun trick or treating in the Proctor District. The Blue Mouse tried to steal our bananas!
We love to dance and we have lots of favorite songs and artists - Jimmy Buffett being one of our most favorite! It is rainy here today - doh! We live in the great NW what else IS there? But that means that we play inside today. Our Momo takes care of us while our mom is at work. Momma rides the bus to work everyday and sometimes we ride the bus to visit her at work. We colored with crayons for the 2nd time today. We didn't try to eat them right away but when we did our Momo put them away. Our Bumpa is fun to play with. He reads to us and helps with our baths. We had peanut butter for the first time this week. Our Momma loves it and so do we.
