November and December is here already!

Hello! We had turkey and all the good stuff that goes with it and now we are busy busy getting ready for Santa Claus to come. We have a tree in the kitchen that is just for kids - it is decorated with lots of toys; trucks, bicycles, santas, tractors and more. We helped Momo and Granpa and Mommy put up the big tree in the living room, then yesterday Granpa got out the train that runs around the tree. What fun that is! The weather is very cold here today. We went to the Dr. this morning and got a poke (our second H1N1) so we should avoid the flu this winter. We have made 2 or 3 batches of chex mix already - one of our favorites. We made cookies to take to our friend Jack's last weekend. He has lots of toys to play with. Sometimes we go to Fircrest to play at the rec center and we see the house where Mommy and Granpa and Momo used to live. Fircrest is fun, we take our trikes and ride all around and play with balls and lots of other kids. And it's warm inside - Momo likes it cause she says we need lots of exercise. Granpa is hanging lights on our house today so Santa will be able to find us easier. Last week we went to Zoo Lights. That was fun - we've never been to the zoo at night before. There were lots of animals made of lights - an eagle soaring, fish jumping and tigers growling. We rode the carousel and came home and had hot chocolate and chex mix. We hope everyone is having fun getting ready for Christmas, we sure are!

September

Hi everyone, it's October already. Our weather is changing already. We had a busy September. Our great grandma Polly passed away in Evansville, IN. We had visited with her in July. Mommy told us about grandma going to heaven and being our angel. After we got back home we watched Charlotte's Web with mommy. When it got the part about Charlotte passing away Mommy told us that she went to heaven. Henry kept saying "ville, Mommy, ville". Mommy said she didn't know what he was talking about. Henry said, "Charlotte went to HeavensVILLE Mommy". My Mommy and my Grandpa and Momo think that was pretty cute!

After we got back from "Heavensville" we went to DISNEYLAND. What fun we had there. At first Emma didn't like our hotel and wanted to go home and sleep in her own bed, but she got used to it. Next time we will take the peapods (what were we (Mommy and Momo thinking??). We spent 3 days at Disneyland and California Adventure and can't wait to go back! After we got home from Disneyland grandpa flew back to Heavensville and loaded up a rental truck with stuff from great grandma's house. He drove back home with it and we helped unload it. That was fun! The truck was BIG. While Grandpa was driving back we went to the Fair with Mommy and Momo. We saw lots of animals! Pigs, horses, dogs. We had chocolate milk and bought some jam. Yummy.

It's fall now and story time has started again at the library. We really like that. We got some new books to read at the library. We have read the 100 books you should read before going to kindergarten, now we are working on our own list! We went to the playground today and Emma "hung like a monkey" on the bars and we teeter tootered, too. Then we saw Aunti Cher Cher and she gave us a sucker - wow! We also went to the dentist this month - our first time. Our dentist has the greatest toys to play with. He doesn't have chairs like adult dentists' do - he has a table where we sit and talk then lie down for an exam. There was a movie on the ceiling! We were very good at our first visit. We have 20 teeth! Well, I guess that is about all for now. We have our Halloween costumes already. Emma is going to be a chicken and Henry a dalmation. Look for more pictures!

July and August

We've been busy - first trying to keep cool! It got so hot here - 103! Now it's back to "normal." We went to the base with Grampa and Momo and saw the Rodeo - airplanes from all over the world come to participate in air drop and other maneuvers. We saw lots of people from many different countries and air force bases. We got to go inside the C-141 that grampa flew for 20+yrs! That was fun! Our legs need to be a lot longer before we can fly it - we couldn't reach the pedals!

We have been busy swinging and picking blue berries, raspberries and strawberries. The blackberries are almost ready. We love our berries. One of Momo's friends came to visit and brought her black lab, Lily. She swam in our pool and we had a great time with her.

We can talk so much now - so watch what you say - you'll hear it from the mouths of babes! Today is a rainy day and we are going to color and then put on our puddle boots and go for a walk...
We had fun "imagining" riding on the motor scooter at our neighbor Sarah's....we imagine a lot lately. It was in one of our 15 books we have from the library. We love to read. Our favorite books are Olivia, Lunch, Toot Toot Beep Beep, Leonardo the Terrible Monster and lots more! We are looking forward to story time starting again at the library.

Well that's about it for now - we'll see you later!

My Review of Peapod Travel Bed

LOVE LOVE LOVE this product

momo Tacoma WA 7/26/2009

Pros: Durable, Easy Setup, Easy Use, Lightweight, Comfortable, Convenient, Portable

Best Uses: Travel, Infants, Toddlers, Kids, Daily Use

Describe Yourself: Parent of Multiples (Twins etc), Grandparent

We love love love the PeaPod plus - we have 2yr old twins and have used the PP since they were 6mos old. They regularly take naps in them. They love to go to their PP for naptime. In nice weather we put them outside for naptime. We have travelled with them and they are the best! It's a familiar place away from home for the children and they are a snap to set up and take down. We have popped them up at the airport when delayed. When they were small we put the mattress in the zippered compartment under the PP - now we just place it inside. The only thing I would change/add would be to add a covering for the mattress. We use a twin sheet folded under. Our 2yr olds have plenty of room inside to play and nap. This is a great product!

More Fun! A Day Out With Thomas

We have had the best July so far, so much to do! Friday we went to the town of Snoqualmie to see Thomas the Tank Engine - we got to ride on a big train pulled by him. It was a very warm beautiful day. Then we had a picnic at the park, then to see Snoqualmie Falls - a huge waterfall, and stopped for ice cream on the way home. We were so tired. On Saturday it was 93 degrees and we went to the Alaska Airlines company picnic. It was too hot and too crowded so we didn't stay long. Today it is cold! Well, cool - 58 degrees and thunderstorms. We have had a relaxing day playing a home. Here are some pics of us with Thomas.

A Quick Trip to Indiana and the Fourth of July

We had a whirlwind visit to our great grandmas' in Indiana. We flew on grandpa's airplane to Chicago and then drove 6 hrs in a car to Evansville. We stayed with Aunt Martha in her big farm house and had sooo much fun. It was fun at the farm. We played outside chasing hoppy bunnies, picking vegetables from the garden and swimming in our little pool. We ate so many good things from the garden - squash, tomatoes, cucumbers and corn!! Yummy. Martha's great grandchildren came to visit us. They are twins too! What fun it was. We got to see both of our great grandmas, our aunts, cousins, and lots of friends, too. In the evening we sat on the porch swing and watched the lightning bugs and listened to the crickets. Sometimes we rocked in the rocker and watched the cars and trains go by. Then it was time to go home. We said good bye house, goodbye barn, goodbye everybody. Thank you Martha!!! On our trip home we sat in the airplane seat like a big person. We could see the moon out the window and it was coming with us!! Mommy and Momo say we are very good travelers.

We're back home now and it's Fourth of July! We're going to watch fireworks tonight!
