SNOW SNOW and more SNOW!

For those of you living in Green Bay and Indiana and other regions that get snow by the foot all winter long - pardon us as we are excited about our 8" and the fact that it looks like we will have a white Christmas for the first time in several years! And for sure for Henry and Emma's second Christmas. We got bundled up to go out and play and Henry pulled a Randy from Christmas Story - he couldn't get up! He had on his rubber boots and too many layers! But we finally got outside and played in the winter wonderland. The snow had a layer ice on top so that was a little hard for us little ones. But we enjoyed our sled rides up and down the street. We got about 3 more inches later that night and Emma would run out on the deck and get a handful and bring it in the house to examine.

Yesterday we went to see Santa. After a little trepidation, Henry gave us a smile and sat happily on Santa's lap. But Emma wasn't too sure and the longer we were there the more unsure she got. So the pictures we get will show her crying or being most unhappy with the situation.

Yesterday was also the last day for pacis. The old pacifiers went out with the recycle to go to "little tiny babies" that we aren't anymore. So far nap time has been a crying and screaming act for about an hour before we finally give it up. Last night wasn't too bad but Henry woke up about 6am frantically tearing apart all the blankets and animals in the crib looking for paci - he wasn't happy when he was reminded that it was gone.

Packages keep arriving at the door and we don't get to open them - what's going on? But we have had a lot oranges and pears and Momo is making chex mix and lots of other goodies. YUM!

Everyone: MERRY CHRISTMAS and our best to you in the new year!

Thanksgiving and Getting Ready for Christmas

We've had a busy week, Emma is getting more teeth and is not feeling so well because of it. And we have colds, Emma, Henry, Momma and Momo. We had a very nice Thanksgiving and ate lots of turkey, cranberries, mashed potatoes, hot rolls, brussel sprouts and pie. Emma saw the Rockettes on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and now does "rockettes" (kicks) when she dances! Hilarious. We'll have to try to get a video of her.
On Sunday we decorated the house for Christmas. Bumpa put up lots of lights on the outside of the house and we helped Momo decorate the big tree in the living room - one of us was a little more help than the other - the little yellow haired girl was not into decorating I guess. Bumpa put up the train and Henry cut his foot on a piece of track. So now he has a "boo boo" to show everyone and a Sponge Bob band aid. We thought we were going to have to call the waaaambulance but he stopped crying when sissy gave him a kiss.

We have a Christmas tree in the kitchen with toys on it, one in the living room with lots of stars and lights and one on the porch with flags and stars. We put out the creche with baby Jesus in the manger and we have lots of Santas around the house. Our big play yard has come in handy for keeping us OUT of the big Christmas tree and train. So now that the playyard is busy guarding the tree, we are free to play all over the house and what fun we are having! We can't get into enough stuff - we love the kitchen cabinets and drawers - our Momo has lots of STUFF in there!

And, we just have to share this beautiful sunset!
